Barich, Inc. led a team developing a “playbook” with accompanying customizable tools toward fostering and sustaining a culture of innovation (or continuous improvement) within an airport organization. This ACRP WebResource finely walks the line between a formal framework and an approach that leaves room for natural growth. The WebResource starts with a primer-like overview to understand a culture of innovation and how it can benefit an airport. It leads into a development framework, which is a series of 25 “plays” from which an airport operator can choose what best fits their organization. In doing so, it provides guidance toward establishing a program for tracking positive developments in the culture. It then wraps up with tactics to sustain the culture of innovation long into the future.
