Barich, Inc. recently completed a research effort: PARAS 0003  Report  “Enhancing Communication and Collaboration among Airport Stakeholders” for the National Safe Skies Alliance, Inc. (Safe Skies). Click here to read the final Report.

 

According to its website, “Safe Skies is the leading source of security-related technology information and applied research for commercial service airports in the United States. Safe Skies also manages the Program for Applied Research in Airport Security (PARAS), which develops near-term practical solutions to security problems faced by airport security operators. PARAS is funded by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Contractors conduct the research and are selected through a competitive proposal process.”

 

Barich Inc. led a Team of accomplished researchers with extensive practical experience in their respective areas of expertise. Our Team, comprised of Barich Inc. staff and industry Subject Matter Experts, developed a Guidebook, which:

 

  • Is a useful, hands-on resource providing the reader with the information and tools needed for understanding and applying a direction toward enhanced communication and collaboration among various airport stakeholders.
  • Is forward-thinking, considering industry trends and best practices, and incorporating these trends through various means, helping the airport operator plan for the future.
  • Provides sound practical methods to establishing enhanced communications and collaborations.
  • Is educational in nature, employing airport-specific lessons learned, along with case studies from airports that have achieved success in various areas of operations and security.
  • Is helpful to a broad spectrum of airports.
  • Discusses potential funding sources and suggests creative ways to program a communications plan.
  • Offers a step-by-step approach for assessing the airport’s current conditions and applys sound solutions.
  • Is supported by a set of worksheets, designed to cover the areas of finance, IT systems, data integration, policies and procedures, and process flows.

 

Barich, Inc. is also active in two research projects with the ACRP (Airport Cooperative Research Program), and has produced other reference guides, syntheses, and journal articles.
