International Terminal - Installation and Testing Oversight

Project Summary:

Barich, Inc. served in the role of oversight for testing and installation of the upgraded Flight Information Display systems in the International Terminal at SFO.  The completed installation in the International Terminal also served as the hub for extending the systems into the renovated Terminal 2 facility.   Barich, Inc. acted on behalf of Turner Construction providing direction to sub-contractors and established methods for effective communication between sub-contractors, Turner, and SFO stakeholders.      

The scope of work included:

  • Develop communication plans and communication reporting structure
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings driving status updates, issue resolution, decision points, action plans, implementation plans, and test plans.
  • Develop and deliver progress status summaries to executive stakeholders
  • Provide direction and guidance to sub-contractors according to scope of work
  • Review  test plans, cutover plans, and provide feedback on clarification, comprehensiveness, and procedures

Project Status:

The International Terminal project was completed successfully, and Barich, Inc. was retained to oversee the migration of this work into the new Terminal 2, which opened, as planned, on April 14, 2011.
