End Date:  December 2009 Type of Work:  Project Assessment & Business Plan Development
Ongoing Support:  No

Project Summary:

San Antonio International Airport (SAT) was undergoing major changes with the construction of Terminal B, the future construction of Terminal C, as well as the demolition of Terminal 2. Construction activities had recently been completed at Stinson Airport, which is the reliever airport for San Antonio International Airport. In the midst of all of this construction activity, the City of San Antonio Aviation Department was also experiencing organizational changes and as with any growing airport, Information Technology was a critical part of the success of these transitions. In February, 2009, the San Antonio Aviation Department selected Barich, Inc. to conduct research and prepare an IT Business Plan addressing these issues.

The IT Business Plan defines IT priorities in support of currently planned airport projects and will enable San Antonio to plan for and apply technology resources in a systematic manner over the next three years, saving valuable time and effort on critical projects. Project tasks included:

  • Review of existing airport projects with technology requirements
  • Identify critical technology projects
  • Establish and deliver estimates of probable cost
  • Provide follow-on support through budget cycle

Project Status:

Barich, Inc. has successfully completed the development of the IT Business Plan in May 2009.
