San Antonio International Airport is Retaining Barich, Inc. for additional services.
The City of San Antonio, Aviation Department (Department) is extending its relationship with Barich, Inc. to provide Construction Administration services for its “IT Infrastructure Modernization” project. Barich, Inc. was retained for these services based on its successful completion of full design support for a multi-million dollar infrastructure replacement for the Airport's Terminal A and outside plant distribution nodes.
The Department is in the midst of a multi-year "IT Infrastructure Modernization Project" project to update the San Antonio International Airport's (SAT) communications infrastructure in order to meet its current and future demands. This project will ultimately bring the communications infrastructure of the current Terminal A up to the same best practice standards as the newly constructed Terminal B, which was opened on November 9, 2010.
For this project, the Department has used Barich, Inc., since February 2009,
to perform IT Project Prioritization & Business Planning services, to
develop a Shared Tenant Services Feasibility Study, to conduct a Common Use
Strategic Assessment, and to perform overall Strategic Planning and Design services for Terminal A.
For the current Construction Administration phase of this project, Barich, Inc. is leading the same multi-disciplinary team of architectural, structural, civil, electrical, mechanical, and telecommunications designers it led during the design phase of this project. This construction administration effort is scheduled to continue until March 2013.
